10. Tween Girls Elmo Costume

Every parent is familiar with the theme song for “Elmo’s World” on Sesame Street. Elmo sure does love his goldfish and crayon too! Boys and girls alike adore the little red-haired furball and that’s why this costume hits the list at #10 this month.

9. Sexy Mummy Costume

I’m not really sure what about mummy costumes says sexy, but it’s hard to argue with the model in this picture.

8. Sexy Rhinestone Cowgirl Costume

Keeping the popularity of naughty outfits going this month, we have here an example of why girls can pull off cowboy hats. So guys, unless you actually work on a ranch, leave your ten gallon hat at home. Sexy cowgirl costumes should be left to the ladies.

This outfit has moved up to #4 from #6 on last month’s list. Again, I ask you. Is anything cuter than a toddler dressed up in a pink poodle costume asking for candy door-to-door?

3. Sexy Deluxe Red Saloon Girl Costume

This month’s #3 costume should be no surprise to anyone. The saloon girl costume has riveted generations with flashy fabric and distracting skirts. I’m pretty sure all the skirt swishing and bloomer flashing was just to keep patrons from thinking about how bad the bar food was in the wild west.

2. Girls Storybook Prestige Belle Costume

This month’s #2 costume was pretty sneaky. Without a mention at all in last month’s list, This little Southern Belle number from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast made it all the way to the second spot for September. I do declare, this is one adorable costume!

1. Kids Yoshi Costume

And still on top for the second consecutive month, Yoshi doesn’t want to give up the #1 spot. Video game costumes are popular every year, especially with kids. I’m just a little surprised the most popular character on the site right now is from a video game franchise that’s relatively old. I thought kids would be eating up the more recent video games, like Angry Birds.

I’m going to give away a about how old I am by saying this, but I have no idea where Lady Gaga wore this costume. Although it doesn’t surprise me in the least. In my opinion, there’s no other celebrity better at staying famous.
